Haven't played a lot of 2016 games yet but so far Fire Emblem Fates looks like the clear favorite for me in the early going.
I havent bought or played many games recently...
I think 2016 is the year of VR... So much VR stuff is happening now... I cant say because I havent tried it yet, but judging from peoples reactions... it seems goooood...

Although released towards the end of 2015, I've gotta say Fallout 4 carried great game play and story and is my game of the year.
