YouTube Webcam or not?

I'm a 14years old boy from finland, and im thinking about starting doing youtube on 2017. At the beginning I'll record survival and horror games, but im not sure wether i should buy a webcam or not, is it a good idea?

Personally, I'd say yes if that's the genre you want to go with. Alot of survival/horror games are all about jump scares or they play the long game to mess with your head, and alot of your reaction with be facial. Without that webcam, your viewers will be missing out on it.

Most people watch channels for the person and not the game. Having your face there gives an extra way for the viewers to connect with you.

This is optional of course but when doing Horror games the usage of a webcam can give that extra to a video as you record the expression wich is what most people love to see.

For me I'm not always a fan of face cams, unless it is done really well it can end up just being distracting.
