By rank do you mean increase your video position in the YouTube search rank?

As YouTube videos are ranked based on watch tone and relevancy there's no real guaranteed way to rank a video higher. Before you think of YouTube search you should think of where to promote your channel/videos. You mentioned Facebook and Twitter which are great places to start. But expand to other social media as well. And don't forget to actually post other things than just your videos there. If you have a Twitter profile that's just full of links no search engine will recommend it.
